The sloe berries are harvested just after the first frost at the end of the year. They are added to our Elg Gin No. 1, and the mixture is sweetened with Danish sugar before being left to mature for six months. The gin is then poured through a strainer and the remaining berries are pressed.
THE PERFECT SERVE
Elg Sloe Gin is a refreshing drink by itself (potentially with ice and an orange peel, if desired), but it also works perfectly as a mixer with Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic Water or in cocktails with ginger beer.
Elg Sloe Gin was awarded Silver at IWSC 2019 as well as bronze in 2020.
50 cl., 33% Alc. Vol. Sugar content 18%. No artificial colourings. 1,400 bottles produced in 2019.
